days seem like months
months seem like years
and yet it seems like just yesterday
when you were still here
wanting to move on
needing to let go
trying to rebuild my defenses
still you are all i know
i follow in your footsteps
this is all i need
but everything is futile
i already found what was complete
life goes on without you
thats all i hear them say
but i havent stopped missing you
i miss you everyday
today feels like yesterday
back a year in time
that cold november day
i last kissed you goodbye
months seem like years
and yet it seems like just yesterday
when you were still here
wanting to move on
needing to let go
trying to rebuild my defenses
still you are all i know
i follow in your footsteps
this is all i need
but everything is futile
i already found what was complete
life goes on without you
thats all i hear them say
but i havent stopped missing you
i miss you everyday
today feels like yesterday
back a year in time
that cold november day
i last kissed you goodbye

keeping time
finally.
i can manage a smile
and find myself laughing
every once in a while.
finally.
my sleep is sound
and not filled with dreams
that you're sill around.
finally.
when i hear our song
i find it hardly reminds me
of you at all.
finally.
the days dont seem so long
and i can wait
till i get home.
finally.
it doesnt hurt so bad
and i'm losing reasons
to be so mad.
finally.
i'm accepting you're gone
and what i thought what was
was all so wrong.
